Michelle Phoenix is a PhD Candidate at the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University and with CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research. She graduated from the Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Toronto in 2007. Since then, Michelle has practiced clinically at KidsAbility Centre for Child Development, providing a range of assessment and therapy services to children aged 0-5 years old and their families. She has a strong interest in clinically applied research, especially focused on parents of children with disabilities and service delivery. Michelle has done knowledge translation work on how to engage hard-to-reach families within KidsAbility. With her advisor, Dr. Peter Rosenbaum, Michelle will study how parents participate and engage in pediatric therapy services.
