BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Jonathan Wasserman is currently a Paediatric Endocrinology fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. He completed his PhD in Developmental Biology and Genetics at the University of Cambridge. He subsequently completed his medical training in the Division of Health Sciences and Technology at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by residency training in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital, Boston and Boston Medical Center. Prior to starting his fellowship training, he helped implement a large medical informatics system while serving as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children's Hospital, Boston. His research focuses on adrenocortical carcinoma, a rare endocrine tumour in children. He is combining genetics, genomics and molecular biology to gain a better understanding of the origins of this disease, hoping to translate this knowledge into improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for affected children.
