|Supervisor(s):||Dr. Todd Alexander|
|Project Title:||Molecular mechanisms mediating a positive calcium balance during development|
Megan is a Registered Dietitian and a PhD student in the Department of Physiology at the University of Alberta. The primary aim of her research is to delineate pathways of calcium (re)absorption across intestinal and renal epithelia during postnatal development. Megan received a BSc from the University of Alberta and did her Master’s work and dietetics training at McGill University. Megan’s research is supported by a NSERC-Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, Alberta Innovates Clinician Fellowship and by the generous support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute.
