Allison Ezzat is a physiotherapist and currently enrolled in the PhD program in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. She obtained her Bachelors of Science (Physical Therapy) from Queen’s University in 2005 and began practicing in musculoskeletal orthopaedics private practice treating a wide range of pediatric and adult injuries. While continuing clinical work, Allison received her Clinical Masters (Manipulative Therapy) from Western University in 2008 and a Masters of Science (Rehabilitation Science) from the University of British Columbia in 2012. Her doctoral thesis will use a mixed methods approach to examine physical and psychological factors associated with physical activity participation and return to sport in youth in the 6 to 12 months after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Her PhD co-supervisors are Dr. Mariana Brussoni and Dr. Carolyn Emery.
