BIOGRAPHY
Chris completed a PhD in Mucosal Immunology at Dalhousie University in 1998 and completed his MD training there in 2002 as well. He trained in Paediatrics and Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Paul Kubes at the University of Calgary. He is currently a Physician Scientist at the Alberta Children's Hospital in the Paediatric Gastroenterology group, with research interests focusing on how innate immune signals from bacteria influence the development and perpetuation of intestinal inflammatory diseases. He is married to Amy, and has two children - Alexander and Madeline
