BIOGRAPHY

Jill Zwicker is an occupational therapist with 20 years clinical experience, most recently in school-based practice In Victoria, British Columbia. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology degree at the University of Victoria, where she conducted a randomized clinical trial to compare multisensory and cognitive approaches for handwriting intervention. Jill recently completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of British Columbia. Her dissertation examined the neural correlates of motor performance in children with developmental coordination disorder, which was one of the first studies to describe the neurobiological differences of children with DCD. Jill is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship in Developmental Neuroscience, where she is exploring the relationship of neonatal brain imaging in infants born very preterm to fine and gross motor functioning at 18 months.
