Biography

Dr Grégoire was one of the first students to graduate from the MD/MSc joint program at Université de Montréal in 1999, where she completed her MSc in Biomedical Sciences under the supervision of Dr Francine Lefebvre in addition to her MD. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at her alma mater in 2004. To pursue her clinical and research interest in pediatric pain and palliative care, she moved to Halifax to complete a clinical fellowship at the IWK Health Centre under the supervision of Dr Gerri Frager (Palliative Care) and Dr Allen Finley (Pediatric Pain). She is also a student in the Interdisciplinary Studies program at Dalhousie University working on developing better pain and dyspnea assessment tools for children. Her fellowship and PhD are supported through a IWK Board of Directors Fellowship, and a CIHR Fellowship. In 2006, she also received the D.A. Gillis Board Fellowship Award. Marie-Claude habite à Halifax avec Louis, son conjoint, où ils apprécient la nature et l’océan, propice à leur passion commune pour le triathlon.
